So I have been sick the last couple of days (and I always brag that I never get sick--go figure!), and I have been drinking lemon, honey, and hot water concoctions to help my sore throat (trying to go the natural route instead of medicine--my husband and some friends are anti-medicine and have rubbed off on me). I have also been drinking my regular green tea that I try to have twice a day, preferably one in the morning and one at night. Why? Because they say green tea helps flush out toxins, AND for the two hours after you drink it, your metabolism runs 10% faster than normal--TOTALLY worth the not-so-great taste. But I have never thought about trying to make it taste better--it's like medicine to me, and medicine doesn't taste that great anyway. But, yesterday Gary put honey in my green tea and POOF!: Delicious. But, is it worth the extra calories just to make it taste a little better??? Shouldn't I just drink it plain like I have all these years? Sigh....I almost wish I have never tasted it with honey so I could just keep on being ignorant :).
