Fiction Fridays-The Book Thief

Here is an excerpt for an article I submitted for a freelance job that would guarantee a montly paycheck in exchange for 12 articles a month...cross your fingers and hope that they like it!

The Book Thief is one of the most powerful books I have ever read, and year after year, my students, friends, fellow book club members, and family continue to be mesmerized by this truly touching book. The lessons that can be learned, the strength of the young narrator Liesel, and the newfound insight readers will gain regarding the relationship between “beauty and brutality” (Zusak 550) make The Book Thief a must-read.

What's your favorite 5 books? I am always looking for new things to read!
